Navigating Stressful Events of the Past Day from the Trump Rally Event.
Life is filled with unexpected events and challenges that can cause significant stress. Whether it's a demanding workday, personal conflicts, or unforeseen emergencies, the stress from these events can linger, affecting your mental, emotional and physical well-being.
Something like what happened yesterday at the Trump Rally in Pennsylvania yesterday can create a very deep sense of unsettled grief and uncertainty. Due to the massive amount of media coverage, the sheer volume of the collective energy can truly become overwhelming for certain, and for some, paralyzing.
One social post I read yesterday indicated that a woman hasn't felt so emotional since the dreaded September 11th tragedy. That really got me thinking about how many of us are experiencing the same kinds of feelings.
I want to share some thoughts and personal development tools with you to help you navigate these unsettling times.
First of all, remember that you are home and safe. What happened in Pennsylvania did not happen to you, (unless you were there, of course.) Whenever we worry about things outside of our control, things that are not actually a part of our day to day life, it creates anxiety, which in turn affects our sleep patterns, our focus and clarity and our peace of mind.
It's this kind of stress that causes health issues and steals our happiness. There is no point in giving up our power and our health over anything that we cannot change.
Start right now by taking several deep breaths into your belly and as you exhale allow your body to relax. Your mind will follow, your body will follow your mind.
Recognize those things that you cannot control. Imagine you are placing those things in your hands energetically and lift them up, give them to God, whatever God means to you. Release and let go.
I also find at times like these, extreme relief in recitation of the Serenity Prayer:
"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
The most important thing you can do for yourself and your family right now is to relax and take great care of yourself and your own peace of mind. Turn off the tv and stay off of social media for a bit, stay out of the conversations.
If you need help or someone to talk to, a professional hypnotherapist may be able to help.
With Love and Light,
